With the deadline of Memo 3 rapidly approaching we had to kick it into high gear. Dwight and I continued to work on the 3D modeling. One of the major issues we ran into was with dimensioning. Because we did not have a physical prototype a lot of the decisions were guessing and then adjusting. In hindsight, I wish we had made an alpha prototype, this would have helped tremendously in the 3D modeling process. As we moved through the design we realized we had to redesign the crossbar. The original design was too complicated and did not achieve the desired motion. We decided to incorporate a ball and socket joint, this allowed for the necessary motion. While we were doing this, Emilie remotely worked on organizing the meeting minutes. I also started compiling the final report. This was a very long day of work.
